Funded Project

Strategic Development Fund

In 2022, the Department for Education (DfE) introduced the second round of its Strategic Development Fund (SDF2). Its aim is to enable further education (FE) bodies to revolutionise teaching and training provision and modernise facilities ahead of the rollout of Local Skills Improvement Plans.

Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (GLLEP)

TEC Partnership were proud to lead and co-ordinate this fund. In collaboration with nine other FE providers within the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (GLLEP) area, we successfully secured £2.73 million in funding.

This substantial investment was dedicated to three pivotal projects: low carbon, digital, and the visitor economy, all critical sectors for our region’s economic landscape. The projects were delivered between August 2022 and March 2023, with some activities extending into May 2023.

The evaluation of the Greater Lincolnshire SDF2 programme was entrusted to Les Newby Associates and Nicky Denison at Wordfern Ltd and was conducted from February to May 2023. Their comprehensive assessment explored the extent to which the GLLEP SDF2 aims and objectives were achieved, highlighting exemplary practices and insights for future initiatives.

Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY)

Similarly, on the north bank of the Humber, TEC Partnership had the pleasure of working as lead partner alongside six additional partners under the Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY). We collaboratively secured a further £2.7 million in funding to run two major projects focusing on low carbon and digital.

This investment in the area has allowed our further education and independent training providers to ensure they are offering training using the latest state of the art equipment and most current qualifications, with an aim of narrowing skills gaps within the area.

In Hull and East Yorkshire, York Consulting provided a comprehensive evaluation report. This demonstrated the excellent work achieved through the project, highlighting a legacy to build upon. Additional research also took place including a comprehensive training needs analysis of the area, a green jobs and skills analysis, along with the production of a digital skills framework and digital skills prospectus.

Join us in celebrating the remarkable work we’ve accomplished as the prime partner coordinating these transformative efforts across both the north and south banks.

Our commitment to advancing education and fostering economic growth continues to shape a brighter future for Greater Lincolnshire, Hull, and East Yorkshire.
